In 2024, will Xavier Restrepo and Cam Ward form a strong alliance?

Next season, Miami hopes to put transfer quarterback Cam Ward behind center and transform their passing offense.

At the Hurricanes’ training facility, Ward has been busy working out and developing a rapport with his new wide outs. Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George, Miami’s top two receivers, are both back from the previous campaign. Restrepo had the second-highest receiving yards (1,092) and catches (85) in the ACC.

Prior to the 2024 football season, 247Sports ranked Ward and Restrepo as the fourth-best quarterback-wide receiver combination.

Quinn Ewers and Isaiah Bond of Texas, Dillon Gabriel and Tez Johnson at Oregon, and Noah Fifita and Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona are the teams behind Miami’s pair. The Hurricanes are the only team from Florida and the ACC to rank in the top ten.

247Sports rated Ward and Restrepo as the fourth-best quarterback-wide out combo ahead of the 2024 football season.
