KWQC, Iowa’s Iowa City During the game versus Michigan on Thursday night, Caitlin Clark created basketball history by becoming the all-time leader in scoring for women’s collegiate basketball.
In front of a sold-out Carver Hawkeye Arena teeming with Hawkeye supporters, Clark smashed the record.
“Very stoked, very excited,” Bettendorf, Iowa fan William Lundie said. “I wouldn’t want to miss this opportunity—it comes only once in a lifetime.”
Keira Leytem, an Iowa supporter, said, “She’s amazing.” “Caitlin Clark is a great role model because she is a senior in college and is looked up to by many people.”
To witness Clark create history, several admirers traveled from all around the nation.
Cassi Hanner, an Iowa supporter from Omaha, remarked, “This is just exciting.” We were unable to attend the previous year as my daughter was home sick with the virus. This is our first game, which we can now attend.
She has an effect on young basketball players that even adults can perceive.

The upcoming basketball players are still motivated by Clark.
Olivia Ryder, an Iowa supporter from the Quad Cities, declared, “When I’m older and a Hawkeye, I’m going to beat her world record.”
She gave the eight high school teachers at Clarks tickets, so they were also present at the game.
