The Baltimore Ravens’ season ended on Sunday in the AFC Championship when they were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Ravens’ hopes of winning the Super Bowl were dashed by Patrick Mahomes and crew, even though they finished the season with the best record in the NFL.
Lamar Jackson acknowledged that the squad was upset about the loss, but he told reporters that he and the team weren’t irritated after the game. Jackson said he’s hopeful the club can improve next season after laying a strong foundation, rather than obsessing about the outcome.
Jackson took some time to express his gratitude to the team for their tremendous growth over the previous several years. Baltimore had only been 8-9 two years prior, and in 2023 they had won 13 games in a row, the most in the league, when the Chiefs, the defending champions, upset them. And with the quality on the roster, they should be a contender for many years to come.
Jackson thanked supporters for their support during the year and promised, using a few hashtags, that the Ravens will return in 2024 and be even better.
