Bristol Rovers re-sign midfielder Lamare Bogarde on season-long loan from Aston Villa
The 19-year-old made 17 appearances on loan at Rovers last season.
Bristol Rovers have re-signed 19-year-old midfielder Lamare Bogarde on a season-long loan from Aston Villa after the Dutchman spent last term at the Mem.
The Dutch U20 international, who was born in Rotterdam and began his career at Feyenoord, will wear the number 22 shirt which he wore for Rovers last season, when he made 17 appearances.
Gas boss Joey Barton said: “We are all delighted to have Lamy back in with us. He’s a talented player and, although on loan, he comes in already knowing us from the time he spent with us last season. This is a chance for him to really kick on and show his talent and, hopefully, we can reap the benefit of that this season.”
Bogarde becomes the club’s 11th signing of the summer and their fourth to arrive on loan. Rovers have made a strong start to the new season, picking up five points from their opening three League One matches ahead of tomorrow (Saturday)’s trip to Cambridge United.
