West Ham United want another forward to be signed after Kudus, Dharmesh Sheth mentions two names

West Ham want Kudus deal sealed 'by the weekend' - Dharmesh Sheth

West Ham United remain in the market for another striker this summer after signing Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist reported (27 August) that Corinthians forward Yuri Alberto has emerged as a target along with continued discussions with Sevilla regarding Youssef En-Nesyri

Sheth noted that the pair were among “a number of options” the Hammers are looking at as they look to bolster their attack before the window closes.

While West Ham’s transfer window has been perhaps the most impressive in the Premier League this summer, the need for a new forward is glaring.

However, West Ham are not down with their business yet and are seeking a new option up top.

Sheth mentioned Alberto as a potential option. With 55 goals across 165 senior appearances, he could prove a lethal option if he can adapt to the Premier League

While Alberti is a slightly unproven asset, he would likely cost less than En-Nesyri. However, it depends on Moyes’ plans going forward. If Antonio is set to be the main man for Moyes for the coming season, perhaps Alberto is the cost-effective high-potential choice.

However, if the club want a proven asset, En-Nesyri should be pursued. While Antonio’s goal against Brighton on Saturday was expertly taken, the Hammers will benefit from another top-tier talent to challenge him throughout the season.

If the Hammers want to continue their form in the Premier League and challenge in the Europa League, at least two top-quality options are needed.
