Confirmed’ Huge amount Brighton will pay Ansu Fati under agreement with Barcelona
Brighton and Hove Albion are reportedly paying 80% of Ansu Fati’s wages on his in-season loan at American Express Stadium.
Fati, 20, is finalizing a deal under which he will move to Brighton for the remainder of the season with no permanent purchase option.
Brighton are believed to have beaten competition from Tottenham, Chelsea and Sevilla to sign the Spain international, who has struggled to secure a regular place in the first team at Barcelona.
It was a pretty heavy blow for Brighton and Fati is said to have been very impressed with Brighton.
and liked the style of head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
The Seagulls finished sixth last season in the Premier League and will be in the Europa League this season for the first time in history.
Fati has a contract with the Spanish giants until June 2027 and, according to Salary Sport, earns £199,000 a week, a total of £10,348,000 a year while playing for Barcelona.
Brighton are said to have agreed to pay 80% of his salary for the upcoming season, or around £160,000 a week.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote:
“Ansu Fati will travel to England in less than an hour to complete his loan to Brighton as #BHAFC will cover 80% of his salary.

The linked Leeds United mainstay will leave Brighton today as the club complete a blockbuster loan deal
Brighton and Hove playmaker Albion Facundo Buonanotte could leave the club on transfer deadline day with Ansu Fati expected to arrive from Barcelona.
Buonanotte, who joined Brighton last January for £10m from Rosario Central, has been linked with a move to on-loan Leeds United earlier this transfer window but Brighton’s Julio Enciso’s knee injury ruined all plans.

Buonanotte, 18, played a key role for Brighton at the end of last season as they finished sixth and secured a Europa League spot.
The Argentinian playmaker is highly rated at Brighton but the return to form of Solly March and Adam Lallana, as well as the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Simon Adingra, will limit his chances.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi says he can’t promise the young star’s minutes and a loan could be the best solution.
However, Enciso is expected to be sidelined for four months and miss the entire Europa League group stage.
It left Buonanotte in limbo as Brighton attempted to agree a loan deal with no buy option for Fati from Barcelona.
The Spain international is keen on moving to the south coast and will prioritize Brighton over Tottenham.
Albion is said to have agreed to cover 80% of Fati’s wages during the season, which is around £160,000 a week.
If Fati arrives, it could mean Buonanotte will be quickly loaned out in the final hours of the transfer window.
