BBC PUNDIT THINK WEST HAM HAS MAKED A £30m ‘Fantastic’ Transfer Decision

BBC Sport pundit Steve Brown believes West Ham United made the “wise” decision to sign James Ward-Prowse from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old left St Mary’s after 20 years of relegation last season.
Ward-Prowse joined Southampton as a youth and captained the club for three seasons.
But West Ham severed their long-standing relationship with a £30m transfer last August.
Irons boss David Moyes took advantage of Southampton’s exit from the Premier League to sign Ward-Prowse to a four-year contract.

He moved to east London after playing 410 times for the Saints in all competitions.
The English striker with 11 caps for England also left with 55 goals and 54 assists.
Ward-Prowse wasted no time proving why West Ham signed him
It also didn’t take long for Ward-Prowse to open an account with West Ham.
He has provided three assists and one goal in three appearances in burgundy and blue jerseys.
The Portsmouth-born technician scored two assists on his debut for The Hammers to help the Hammers beat rivals Chelsea 3-1
Nayef Aguerd took Ward-Prowse’s corner to break the deadlock against the Blues before the midfielder passed the ball to Michail Antonio.
Moyes then enjoyed watching Ward-Prowse score his first West Ham goal to break the deadlock at Brighton & Hove Albion as the Irons won 3-1 again.
Ward-Prowse also didn’t give up on his third appearance when Kurt Zouma headed home from his corner.
This midfielder made an accurate serve to the Luton Town area in the night of horror.
Zouma made goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski no longer have the opportunity to keep.
Brown thinks Moyes made a ‘fantastic’ move from Southampton
Former Premier League defender Brown believes Ward-Prowse’s early efforts under Moyes prove West Ham have secured a ‘fantastic’ signing with his move from Southampton.
The former Charlton Athletic defender also added that his set-piece threat alone was a great addition.
“I think Ward-Prowse is a great signing,” Brown told BBC Sport’s The Far Post podcast.
“In terms of set-pieces alone, he’s a great signing and he’s also a great footballer.

Jesse Lingard’s posts suggest he is ‘looking’ for a contract and watch West Ham win as a signing decision looms.
The summer transfer window may have closed last night but West Ham have yet to make a final addition in the form of Jesse Lingard.
Lingard is a free agent after being released by Forest, which he joined against West Ham last summer.
The midfielder shone through an unforgettable six-month loan spell at the London Stadium, where he helped West Ham come close to qualifying for the Champions League and their record Premier League points total.

Although the signing of Lingard is not bound by transfer restrictions, the Hammers will soon have to make that decision if they want to be included in the full squad promoted to the Premier League next week.
Jesse Lingard’s posts suggest he is ‘looking’ for contract and watch West Ham win as signing decision looms
Initially, based on reactions on social media and fan forums, Hammers supporters were largely opposed to the idea of re-signing Lingard.
But the freeze has melted and West Ham fans – in general – are now much more open to the idea.
Especially with West Ham unable to sign a striker ahead of time, leaving Lingard unable to play as a back striker or second striker.
Some mixed opinions on social media yesterday suggested that Lingard did not train with West Ham before the match against Luton.

Someone really wants to sign for the top league team Hammers
Lingard posted a photo on Snapchat on Friday showing him sweating in the West Ham dressing room, captioned “habit doesn’t stop” and a heart emoji.
The former Hammers hero sat in front of an empty nameplate cabinet next to Edson Alvarez.
Then on Friday night, Lingard posted a picture of himself watching West Ham against Luton on TV.
The 30-year-old posted a photo on Instagram Stories as West Ham beat the Hatters 2-1 to return to the top of the Premier League table.
