The Millwall defender will be sidelined – but the international break will keep him from missing
games Millwall defender Joe Bryan missed yesterday’s game at Birmingham with a groin injury.
The Lions left-back was absent from the matchday squad. The lions drew 1-1.
Murray Wallace came on for Bryan but the Scot was also substituted in the second half.
Regarding Bryan’s injury, Millwall boss Rowett said:
“He felt in his groin on Tuesday so he could be injured and have to spend the rest of the international break.
“We seem to only have these serious minor injuries, which make it difficult for us to have the continuity every team wants in the first six or seven games of the season. That’s what we have to deal with.

The Millwall captain has been replaced by Wes Harding after straining a calf muscle during this afternoon’s clash at Birmingham City.
The defender has regularly struggled with injuries during his seven years with the Lions, but his manager hopes today’s problem is not too serious.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Rowett said:
“I think he just felt his calves were disappointing because I think you can see his toughness there. Wes came in. and I have enough faith that he will continue to do a good job there, but when you lose your captain at a crucial moment in the game when you’re playing well, I think it just doesn’t take long. .. a bit of continuity from your team and your three defenders
“He said he felt his calves twitch so hopefully he gets it and gets over it before it gets to the point. too bad because obviously he’s lost a lot of game time over the last two seasons and that he’s an important player You need him on the pitch
Kevin Nisbet put the Lions ahead
Birmingham nearly equalized from the spot but Matija Sarkic denied Scott Hogan’s penalty after the keeper fouled Keshi Anderson just before when the first half ended.
But the Blues equalized thanks to Jay Stansfield in the second half.
