Leeds United striker Georginio Rutter faces worst situation in months – Injury specialist
We are delighted to welcome trauma specialist Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist.

The Frenchman has been ruled out for the first game of the season, which is a center/minor issue, as confirmed by manager Daniel Farke.
The injury specialist offered insight into the backhand as the Frenchman may have injured his oblique muscle.
However, since he came back after a week, it was a 1st degree injury and not a 3rd degree tear.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, physiotherapist and sports scientist Brar said of Rutter: “Given his speed of recovery, this doesn’t appear to be an extreme case.
“From the reports, it appears that Rutter suffered a trunk injury, usually involving the abdomen.
If you combine this with the descriptor “lateral”, it is likely to cause damage to the oblique muscles extending to the side of the “core”.
“The best case is a 1st degree injury that usually lasts 1-2 weeks and the worst case is a 3rd degree tear that lasts months and it’s not the last.
The 21-year-old moved to Elland Road in January for a club record fee and so far the money has not been worth it.
There are still question marks about his preferred position, as he has been tested on the wing, in the middle and even as a No 10.
In a recent 0-0 draw against Sheffield on Wednesday, Farke opted to hand him the No 9 squad with new signing Joel Piroe playing behind him.
