Aaron Ramsey issues injury bulletin after Wales’ first substitute left Cardiff City fans sweating ahead of Swansea City clash

“We don’t know exactly [what it was]. He ran off the field quickly – I wouldn’t have been too worried if I’m honest with you!”

However, Ramsey himself, who has scored three goals this season – two for the Bluebirds and one for Wales – seems confident that he will be fine in the derby at Cardiff City Stadium. “It was just a precaution,” he said of his injury. “I don’t want to take any risks but everything will be fine by the end of the week.”

The result in Riga leaves Wales level on points with third-placed Armenia in Euro 2024 qualifying and three points behind second-placed Turkey with three games remaining.

Ramsey was delighted with the result in Latvia, a win that puts Wales back in the race for automatic places – although they will likely need a perfect campaign from now on.

Speaking about the match, Ramsey said:
“It wasn’t easy coming here, a lot of teams came here and struggled.

“To come here and win by two goals was great, so was Brooksy [David Brooks], it was good for us. He is very important for us and it was good that he scored. We’re happy to have him back. »
