21-year-old Forest player on loan, playing actively
Carlisle United manager Paul Simpson has praised Nottingham Forest’s on-loan star Fin Back. This player has recovered from a serious injury to return to play with the EFL team.
Returned to join Carlisle on loan last season. He made 19 appearances for the club, but suffered a serious injury in December which brought his campaign to an early end. However, Simpson saw enough to bring him back this season. The Forest left-back will join Carlisle again on loan and he has made 11 appearances in the 2023/24 season.

Back is a likable character and he’s the type of player who aspires to continue honing his skills. In Simpson, he has a manager who believes in him and the youngster from Forest is back at full speedSpeaking at the weekend, the Carlisle boss told the News and Star:
“I’ve been talking to Fin for the past ten days telling him that I need him more, that I want more.

I thought he was excellent on Saturday – he played with fire in his belly. And he was unlucky in the first half when he hit the post.
Back can have a bright future
Coming from a sporting family, Back has always had the determination and drive to succeed as a football player. Currently, Back is playing as much football as possible. The 21-year-old has made five appearances for the Red Devils. His last game was on Boxing Day 2022 when Steve Cooper gave him his chance to play in a 2-0 loss to Middlesbrough.
Back with the hope of one day making a mark at Forest. But here and now he has the ideal manager in Simpson to continue his studies and play football regularly.
