Collingwood denies star is involved in bathroom sex tape

Collingwood has denied rumours that an explicit viral video features one of its players.

The X-rated footage shows a man and a woman performing a sex act in a bathroom.

The club says there is no link between the video and any member of its club – and has denied allegations the video was filmed by another player.

‘We are aware of a video currently circulating alleging to involve a Collingwood player and their partner. Another former Collingwood player has been linked to capturing the video,’ Collingwood CEO Craig Kelly said.

‘The club wishes to address the matter to make clear both these allegations are completely untrue and the video being circulated does NOT involve any current or former Collingwood players or their partners.

‘For all members of the public, it is important to note the distribution of explicit content without the consent of all parties involved is a criminal offence.

‘We will continue to support all our players and their families during this time.’

Collingwood have added further forward class to an already premiership-level list after acquiring Lachie Schultz in a trade with Fremantle.

The 25-year-old forward announced his intention to move last Monday as the trade period kicked off, selecting Collingwood as his club of choice.

Being their most prolific goal-kicker with 63 majors in the past two seasons, Hawk Tyler were disheartened by the trade request and wanted more than Collingwood’s reported offer of Pick 19 in the upcoming draft.

After more than a week of negotiations, the two clubs have settled on selection of Pick 34 and the Magpies’ 2024 first-round selection in a deal for Schultz.

Fremantle’s disappointment was made evident by a desperate four-year deal tabled to former Hawk Tyler Brockman as a small-forward replacement.

But the 20-year-old speedster agreed to terms with cross-town rival West Coast, leaving the Dockers with a front pocket hole to be filled alongside Sam Switkowski and Michael Frederick, while Michael Walters plays out his final seasons.

The Magpies suddenly boast one of the most dangerous medium-small forward brigades in the league, adding to a list with their Norm Smith medallist, Bobby Hill, beside clutch star Jamie Elliott and explosive pressure player Beau McCreery.

Despite the loss of Taylor Adams to Sydney, Collingwood aren’t gunning for any more major deals in the trade period, and without a significant draft hand this year, appear settled on their list heading into 2024.

The Dockers seem troubled, losing Liam Henry to the Saints and Schultz to the Pies without the like-for-like player compensation potentially needed for them to improve in 2024, which is Justin Longmuir’s contract year.

The trade period caps off a down year for Fremantle, as they enter next season as one of the teams under the most pressure to perform.

The Dockers now sit with a trio of first-round selections for 2024, having already held their own and Port Adelaide’s following a trade with the Power earlier this off-season.

Collingwood have beaten Geelong by six points to claim their fourth win on the bounce and continue their charge towards an AFLW finals berth.

The Magpies pushed through brutal conditions, including a period of teeming rain, and a late Cats fightback to prevail 4.6 (30) to 3.6 (24) at Victoria Park.

The victory takes Steve Symonds’ Magpies (5-3) to 20 points, comfortably inside the top eight and just one win and percentage outside the top four.

Collingwood have kicked things up a gear since beating the Brisbane Lions a fortnight ago.

“It’s trust in roles. Everyone knows their role and executing,” ruck Sabrina Frederick told the Seven Network.

“It builds that trust up and up and in Brisbane we did that perfectly.”

Geelong, now sitting 4-4 and just inside the top eight, were left to rue a first half where they were held goalless.

Mikala Cann led the charge for the Pies, with 16 disposals, 12 contested possessions and a goal in the opening half.

Cann finished with 24 touches and 17 contested possessions and was supported by captain Brianna Davey (19 touches, six clearances) and Aisling Sheridan (19 touches, seven clearances).

Frederick (39 hitouts) had a busy day out, Sarah Rowe provided plenty of run and dare, while Nell Morris-Dalton was impressive in tough conditions for a key forward.

Geelong young gun Georgie Prespakis (26 disposals, 19 contested possessions, eight clearances) thrived in the conditions, and was well-supported by Nina Morrison and Amy McDonald.

Neither team broke through for a major in a slogfest of an opening term.

After sustained pressure from Collingwood, Cann snared their first goal in the second quarter with the Magpies pushing through the rain to snare three more.

Morrison exploded to life in the third term, kicking Geelong’s first goal.

She then teed up Zali Friswell for the Cats’ second early in the final quarter.

Cats forward Jacqueline Parry made for a show-stopping finish when she cut the deficit to six points with 1:10 left on the clock, but Collingwood held on.
