As the Hogs turn the page and turn their attention to this weekend’s trip to the Florida Gators, head coach Sam Pittman provided some notable injury updates before the start of the practice week.
The 2023 season certainly didn’t go as expected for University of Arkansas running back Raheim Sanders, but after putting together an All-SEC season as a sophomore in 2022, he was limited to just three games this season.
It was getting worse.
Sanders injured his knee in the first week, but returned in September.
They played 30 games against Texas A&M and the following week against Ole Miss.
Sanders, one of six team captains at Arkansas, missed the Hogs’ next two games but continued to nurse the same knee and underwent additional rehabilitation in Dallas, Texas, during his absence.

The Razorbacks were also without a top player on defense for much of the season as senior cornerback Dwight McGlothan struggled with an injury.
McGlothan played only one snap in Arkansas’ Week 2 game against Kent State due to a turf injury, and left the Hogs’ Week 5 game against Texas A&M due to a violent collision.
McGlothian, who had six interceptions and 12 pass breakups over the past two seasons at Arkansas, was scheduled to return to action in Week 8 against Mississippi State, but did not receive a snap.

However, Pittman said McGlothan’s absence from the game against the Bulldogs was not due to injury.
McGlothan “He was giving it his all,” Pittman said.
“He’s still trying to get minutes, but he’s fully committed.
He was able to play last week, but now is the time.
He’s not a starter for us.
