Seahawks Week 15 Injury Report and Analysis Will key Eagles players miss the Week 15 game against the Seahawks?
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is questionable Monday night due to illness demoted to player.
For the first time since Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles will play an opponent without a rest advantage.
The Eagles’ Week 15 opponent, the Seattle Seahawks, listed 13 players on their initial injury report.

• Jurgens injured his “chest” during the Cowboys game, but returned to the field.
• This knee injury is new as Cunningham missed the 49ers game with a hamstring injury.
• Blankenship’s limited status pending concussion protocol is a good sign for his availability against the Seahawks.

Friday’s Notes: • Jurgens and Cunningham did not start for the second straight day, raising questions about their availability.
Saturday Notes: • Slay underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and is expected to be sidelined for some time.
It is expected that he will return by the end of the regular season.

• Avonte Maddox’s 21-day training period will go into effect next week, according to Tim McManus.
The Eagles missed him a lot.
• Slay, Jurgens and Cunningham are all out.

Nicholas Morrow and Shaq Leonard are likely to start at LB.
It’s unclear who will start at corner in Slay’s place.

Monday’s Notes: • Hurts likely to play while Geno Smith is considered a “favorite” according to Ian Rapoport: LB Nakobe Dean: Heading into the 2023 season, Dean was listed on the roster as the clear No.
1 linebacker and the team expected him to play a much larger role in 2022 than he had as a rookie.
It didn’t go as planned, as he injured his leg in Week 1 against the Patriots and was placed on injured reserve.

Eagles Reaffirm Jalen Hurts As 2022 Starting QB
He returned in Week 6 and played four games before re-injuring his foot and being placed on injured reserve for the second time this season.
During his playing days, Dean was fine as a run defender and tackler (PFF beat him with zero missed tackles), but struggled in coverage.
In PFF, he recorded 13 completions on 14 targets for 120 yards.
Dean was spotted doing a roll-a-bout in the locker room on Thursday.
This is a bad sign that it will be available soon.
• CB Avonte Maddox: Maddox had surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle.
His season is likely over.
The injury-prone Maddox missed three games during the 2022 season and only played in two games in 2023.
He also missed three games in 2018, four games in 2019, and six games in 2020.
When healthy, he’s one of the best slot corners in the NFL, but durability always seems to be a concern.

The Eagles have been inconsistent at slot corner for most of the season, and for a while it looked like they had a different plan each week, but Bradley Roby has become something of a full-time starting spot.
Update: As previously mentioned, according to Tim McManus, Maddox’s 21-day training period opens next week.
• S Justin Evans: Evans is the Eagles’ choice to start alongside Reed Blankenship at the beginning of the 2023 season, beating out Terrell Edmunds and Sidney Brown in training camp for a chance to play.
