Pro Bowl Games roster additions include the, Cowboys DeMarcus Lawrence, Tyler Smith, and “breakout star” Jake Ferguson.
Entering the season, the tight end position appeared to be the largest question mark in a talented Dallas Cowboys offense.
The Cowboys were left with some uncertainty when Dalton Schultz, their starting tight end for the previous three years, walked out of the state in free agency.
That was resolved by Jake Ferguson. And now he’s off to Orlando for the Pro Bowl Games.
Ferguson was expected to do well because he was a former fourth-round pick and was taking on a bigger role this season. The Cowboys’ decision was evident when Pro Football Focus revealed its top breakout prospects for every club.
PFF was accurate. And Dallas was, too, as Ferguson used strength and style to position himself as the team’s second-best target after CeeDee Lamb, assisting veteran quarterback Dak Prescott.
The Cowboys, led by All-Pros Lamb and Micah Parsons, will have nine participa
nts in Orlando with Zack Martin allegedly opting out for personal reasons.
