Burnley and Watford exclusiv Forward signed a contract worth £100,000 a week
Former Watford star Andre Gray has signed a one-year contract with Al Riyad worth £100,000-a-week, sources told Football Insider.
The Saudi Pro League side announced they had reached a final agreement with the 32-year-old player before the Saudi market closed on Thursday (September 7).
Gray is said to have rejected interest from a number of clubs, including other Saudi Arabian clubs as well as clubs in the United Arab Emirates, before signing.
The contract with Al Riyadh is worth 2.
5 million pounds per year excluding taxes.
He became a free agent after terminating his contract with Aris FC by mutual consent last week.
Gray, 32, was the Greek team’s top scorer last season but has now left after being eliminated from Europa Conference qualifying.
Gray has spent most of his career in England and played in the Premier League for Burnley and Watford from 2015 to 2022.
He helped the Clarets reach the top flight in the 2015/16 season and spent a campaign with Premier League side Lancashire before signing for Watford for a record fee of £18.

Gray spent five years at Vicarage Road, scoring 21 goals in 125 appearances in all competitions.
After falling out of favor with the Hornets in the final years of his five-year contract, Gray spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Championship side QPR before leaving on a free transfer to join Aris FC in Greece.
Gray is now set to become the latest player to join the Saudi Pro League after this summer’s campaign aimed at increasing his competitiveness in the competition with heavy investment in new signings.
