The Packers lost three of their defensive players to injuries during the course of the defeat to Denver. In his first game play in nearly a year, Eric Stokes sustained a hamstring injury, Devonte Wyatt sustained a knee injury, and Darnell Savage exited the game with a calf injury.

Savage is in his fifth year of rookie contract option play, thus the timing of the injury could not be worse. Savage was anticipating a strong showing in 2023 would result in a new contract after two disappointing seasons in 2021 and 2022.
