WHAT A GOOD SOLUTION FOR OHIO STATE….

After Devin Brown’s injury, does Ohio State already have a quarterbacking solution?

On Saturday, the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the then-No. 7 Penn State Nittany Lions in their second top-ten test of the season, but in the process, they lost some of their offensive production. During the third quarter of Saturday’s game against the Nittany Lions, backup quarterback Devin Brown of the Buckeyes departed the game due to a lower-body injury after turning awkwardly on a planned run.Ohio State might have another solution to keep its red zone package alive following Devin Brown's injury - cleveland.com

Ohio State coach Ryan Day announced during his weekly press conference on Tuesday that Brown would be out of the lineup for “one or two weeks.” Day was then questioned about if freshman Lincoln Kienholz, who is physically and intellectually comparable to Brown, might temporarily take Day’s spot.

Day stated, “We’re going to look and see if we can get Lincoln in that role because he’s very athletic and younger.” “We’ll go through the week and give those guys reps and see how that goes.” After three years under center at Oregon State, veteran Tristan Gebbia will have an opportunity to win Brown’s reps. Day stated that although Gebbia and Kienholz have different strengths, they will both be given the opportunity to take on Brown’s open position.

There is a younger man who we believe has a tremendously great future here, and there is a more seasoned gentleman,” Day stated. “The players haven’t gotten a lot of reps because Devin has been getting most of the 2s. Perhaps they will both have the chance.

This weekend, Ohio State will travel to face the Wisconsin Badgers in a Big Ten Conference game. On Saturday, October 28, kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. NBC will broadcast live coverage of the match.
